Diving in Zakynthos

It is a nice way to introduce children to scuba diving under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor. The maximum diving depth is only 2 meters; it is a fun, easy and safe program.

This program is specifically designed for young divers who are looking for fun and action. Dives take place in the pool, thus reinforcing students’ diving skills in a safe environment. The program is divided into two parts. The first part teaches children the basics of diving: how to breathe underwater, attitude control, mask compensation, recovering a regulator. The second part includes adventures such as creature identification, search and recovery, and skin diving. By completing all these training steps, children will become members of the PADI Master Seal Team – an elite of young divers. In order to enroll in the PADI Seal Team program, a child must be at least 8 years old. No previous diving experience is necessary, but children should be in comfortable in the water. Parental approval is required.

Although not a certified course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and simple introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. To enroll in a Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No previous diving experience is required, but you must be in good physical health.

Skin diving is basically like snorkeling except that, in order to observe aquatic life more closely, you apnea dive. It is a great alternative way to explore the underwater world of Zakynthos Island when you cannot do a full dive or diving is just not for you. Snorkeling is safe, easy and fun; it is the perfect combination of exercise and relaxation. Our dive site offers greatly diverse marine life, open caves, rock formations and extraordinary visibility of over 40 meters. We will provide you with snorkeling equipment, including masks, snorkels, fins, weights and wetsuits (if necessary) as well as an explanation on how to use them and a description of the marine life you will encounter. While underwater we can pictures to create a lasting memory of your snorkeling experience. To enroll in a PADI Skin Diver course, you must be at least 8 years old. You must have adequate swimming skills and be comfortable in the water. No previous diving experience is required.

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you don’t have a lot of time but you really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver program could be your best option. This is in fact an intermediate step towards the ultimate goal of obtaining the Open Water Diver certification. It is your chance to wear mask and fins and experience the adventure of diving in a short span of time. With this program you will dive under the  direct supervision of a PADI instructor up to a maximum depth of 12 meters. The course consists of three sections: theory (instruction and knowledge development) confined water immersion (three dives) and open water immersion (two dives). To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver course you must be at least 10 years old. You must have adequate swimming skills and be in good health. No previous diving experience is required. Duration: 2 days.

This course includes instruction on the basics of scuba diving, including diving equipment and techniques. Maximum diving depth: 18 meters. A PADI program for open water dives with instructor supervision up to a maximum depth of 12 meters is available for young people between 10 and 14 years of age. Duration: 3-4 days. Price: 350€.

Have you ever wanted to take underwater digital photos, identify fish species or dive with a dry suit? This course, offers you, a long list of diving adventures. The PADI Adventure Diver course is a subset of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program. It comprises 3 adventure dives, including fish identification dive, naturalistic underwater dive, underwater photography, night dive, underwater videography, shipwreck dive. If you are a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver  of at least 10 years of age and you are ready to take the next step, you should definitely enroll in the Adventure Diver course. Younger divers can only participate in certain Adventure Dives – ask your PADI Instructor for more information. Duration: 1-2 days.

With this advanced course, you can refine your skills and take your training to the next level by diving underwater down to 30 meters deep in the beautiful waters of Zakynthos. The program includes five dives after which you will earn your PADI Advance Open Water Diver certification. This is a water based performance program that includes a choice of the following dives: fish identification dive, naturalistic underwater dive, underwater photography, night dive, underwater videography, shipwreck dive. With each dive you learn new skills and techniques and gain experience under the guidance of a PADI professional instructor. PREREQUISITES: open water diver certification. Duration: 2 days. Price: 280€.

The course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to prevent, and if necessary, manage dive emergencies. The course broadens a diver’s awareness and improves their skills and confidence.  You need to be at least 12 years old, certified to beyond entry-level with proof of underwater navigation training, such as PADI Adventure Diver with the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive completed, and be fit for diving to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver.
