What is the best time to visit the Shipwreck Beach of Zakynthos<\/strong>? is one of the most frequent questions that customers ask in the office before booking the excursion to the most famous and popular beach on the island. What do we mean by best time? the time when there are fewer people or the time when the beach is completely exposed to the sun? We went to the viewpoint overlooking the Beach of the Shipwreck to photograph how the exposure to the sun changes and the attendance of people and boats throughout the day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N.B. <\/strong>The photos were taken in mid-September, in the low season, therefore you will have to calculate a small variation on the sun exposure of about 20 minutes compared to the high season and in the less frequentation of the beach compared to the month of August, also the docking time of the larger boats varies in July and August, we will keep you informed when you come to visit us in the office or on the Facebook group Welcometozante<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Shipwreck Beach is located inside a bay on the western coast of Zakynthos Island, protected by two huge rocky walls that prevent the sun’s rays from reaching it in the early morning and late in the day<\/strong>. The beach can only be reached by group excursion<\/strong> (boats for max 40-50 people), private excursion by renting a boat with or without skipper<\/strong> or finally taking part in an excursion to go around the whole island<\/strong> (from 250 to 400 pesone). 10:30 am<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The beach is still all in the shade<\/strong>, the first tours reach the bay around 10.00 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.00 am<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At 11.00 the first boat with max 350 seats that does the Island Tour arrives at the Shipwreck beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.15 am<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The boat takes about 15 minutes to finish the disembarkation of all passengers who tend to gather in the only slice of the beach in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sun continues to gain meters of beach and other small boats arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After an hour of stop, the 350-seater boat sets sail to continue its tour. This is a great time<\/strong> to visit Shipwreck Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 12.30 pm the second 400-seater boat that goes around the island arrive in the bay<\/strong> and begins the disembarkation of passengers on board, the time required is about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12.45 pm<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

About 15 minutes later an additional boat<\/strong> with a maximum capacity of 350 seats arrives, which will disembark all passengers in about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 1.00 pm in low season (N.B. at different times in high season), the Shipwreck Beach is almost all exposed to the sun, but it is certainly the busiest time to visit it <\/strong>with over 1,000 people on the beach in high season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After embarking the passengers, after an hour of stop, the first boat sets sail<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second 350-passenger boat also sets sail. From 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm is a good time<\/strong> to visit the Shipwreck Beach, the colors tend to be less intense as the day progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
