As you can see, it has a <strong>triangular shape<\/strong>, which allows you to divide it into three areas. It is obviously the least touristy, but also the best preserved from the growing number of tourists vacationing in Zakynthos in recent years. There are very few beaches accessible by land, including Korakonisi, Porto Roxa, Porto Limnionas, Porto Stenitis, Porto Vromi and Filipoi. The countless caves, coves and especially <strong>Shipwreck Beach<\/strong>, can only be reached by <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/welcometozante.com\/en\/what-to-do-in-zante\/excursion-shipwreck-zante\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">renting a boat or by taking part in a North Coast or West Coast excursion<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>. This is the best area on the island to enjoy enchanting sunsets overlooking the sea (Keri, Kampi or the Navagio viewpoint). Except for Makris Gialos, all beaches are sandy. Xigia Beach specifically stands out for <strong>its sulfur springs<\/strong>, which on some days turn the sea white. Banana Beach and St. Nicholas Beach are the most popular and crowded beaches in Zakynthos and are famous for their many <strong>water sports<\/strong>. Except for Limni Keri and Marathias, all beaches are sandy. Dafni and Gerakas are the most monitored by WWF volunteers, due to their numerous turtle nests. <strong>Laganas<\/strong> is the most touristy beach on the island and a favorite destination for thousands of young people.
