Shipwreck Beach is often described as the most beautiful beach on Zakynthos Island and sometimes even as the most beautiful in all of Greece.
Also known as Navagio, Shipwreck Beach is enclosed in a small cove and it is only reachable by sea. In this part of Zakynthos, the sea is an electric blue color due to the numerous sulfurous caves that surround the beach and that release large quantities of sulfur as the tide rises, providing the perfect opportunity for spectacular souvenir photos.
Our excursions to Shipwreck Beach only use small to medium boats that can cruise very close to the coastline for breathtaking views of the most beautiful coves in Zakynthos and can also enter the western Blue Caves (unlike larger boats). This also allows you to get on and off the boat quickly without having to wait for hundreds of people to do the same.
Our Excursions and Boat Rental to Shipwreck Beach
Our Boat Tour to Shipwreck Beach is definitely the most popular one. The excursion includes a photo stop at Shipwreck Beach and 3 swim stops in small coves with breathtaking blue, turquoise and green water. The departure port is about 50 minutes from our office and must be reached independently (we recommend not booking at the last minute; if you don’t have a reservation, please call our WhatsApp number to verify availability). The tour is active every day, all year long.
If you don’t have a rental vehicle to reach the departure port, we have 2 solutions for you:
1. Boat Tour to Shipwreck Beach + Bus with departures from Laganas, Agios Sostis or Kalamaki from June to September, twice a week.
2. Minivan Tour + Boat Tour to Shipwreck Beach with pick up directly at your accommodation. It includes a boat excursion to Shipwreck Beach and several stops at some of the most popular spots on the island. Active every day, all year long.
If instead you are looking for greater comfort and privacy, you can rent a boat that doen’s require a boating license or you can rent a boat with a skipper to reach Shipwreck Beach. The price is very affordable!
