3-Hour Marine Park Tour

Marine Park Tours using 9 to 34 passenger boats are the best solution to explore the Marine Park. The Zakynthos Marine National Park (Greek: Εθνικό Θαλάσσιο Πάρκο Ζακύνθου) covers an area of 135 km² and is home to Loggerhead (Caretta Caretta) turtles. Established on December 22, 1999, it is the first national marine park in Greece.

During the tour, you’ll get to enjoy turtle spotting and swimming at Marathonisi Island and inside the caves that are typical of this area. Thanks to the size of our boats, you will have the opportunity to get close to the turtles as they swim and relax in Laganas Bay, all in compliance with WWF regulations. Unlike larger boats, our small-medium boats can dock right on the beach at Marathonisi Island (where we will stop for 1 hour) and even enter inside the caves.

The excursion includes 2 swim stops: one at Marathonisi Island, where Loggerhead (Caretta-Caretta) turtles lay their eggs, and one at Keri Caves. It also includes turtle spotting from the boat.
While on board, you will have the opportunity to see some of the best coves on the island and discover extraordinary places. This 3-hour excursion is ideal for those wanting to relax while snorkeling in the beautiful, pristine waters of the Marine Park, but also for those looking for a more adventurous experience, swimming inside the caves. If you wish to explore the Marine Park on your own, you can rent a standard boat that doesn’t require a boating licence or rent a boat with skipper.

Boat Tours to the Zakynthos Marine Park take place 2 times a day in low season and 3 times a day in high season. Reservations are required and can be made by filling out the form on the Book Now page.
