In recent years, numerous Zakynthos beaches have geared up for watersports, with Banana Beach and San Nikolas Beach being the best ones.
Both of them offer a FREE shuttle service; beware of all the agencies trying to sell you the shuttle service with a watersport included.
BANANA BEACH WATERSPORTS
Banana Watersports was originally founded in 1985 as a family business. Its original location was on Laganas Beach, but it had to be moved to Banana Beach in Vasilikos, when Laganas became part of the Zakynthos Marine Park, in an effort to protect Loggerhead turtles (Caretta-Caretta).
The company offers watersport services at reasonable prices for activities such as Flyboard, Banana, Ciambellone (doughnut), Parasailing, Waterskiing, Canoeing, Flyfish, Jet Skiing and much more. Sunbeds and umbrellas are also available for those who simply want to relax and enjoy the beach.

WINDSURF
Manos is the only VDWS certified windsurf instructor in Zakynthos. The lessons are held in Tsilivi, a beach a few kilometers from Zakynthos city and are intended for students in their first sailing experience. The lessons are aimed at learning the basic principles of sailing, and the use of windsurfing equipment for beginners in total autonomy and safety, in medium-light wind conditions.
In a few hours you will learn the basics of windsurfing, such as balance, wind direction and all the basic maneuvers, tacking and jibing on a board with drift. Windsurfing lessons in Zakynthos initially have a theoretical training on the dry of 20-30 minutes in which the various parts that make up windsurfing and the position to be held on the board are explained.
Windsurfing lessons will be held with a 220 LT beginner board and a 2.5 or 3.5 square meter sail depending on the wind. After gaining confidence with the balance on the board, the basic movements will be taught. The next stage is the course, the 180 degree turn, and finally jibes and turns.
What you will learn: windsurfing components nomenclature and sailing theory, sail recovery, sailing gaits, basic tack, basic jibe.
