Cameo Island

Cameo Island is the second most photographed place in Zakynthos, obviously after the very famous Shipwreck Beach, and it is often indicated as a spot not to be missed on the island in any Zakynthos’ Travel Guides.

Located in the Agios Sostis area and easily reachable both on foot from Laganas and by car following the instructions given in this link https://goo.gl/maps/htK2Dc5fBveTvsev7. You can park for free at the parking lot located at the beginning of the wooden bridge.

Until a few years ago the most famous parties in Zakynthos, such as the White Party, Martedì Bianco and Elegant Party were organized here several days a week. Cameo Island is now mainly a beach bar where you can have a drink from 9.00 am until midnight, swimming in the crystal clear waters and admiring the sheets dancing in the wind. Frequented by many boys and girls who spend the day here waiting for Zakynthos night events. To access you pay a few euros and you are entitled to a personalized souvenir for each person (a key ring with your photo). On Thursday and Sunday it hosts an aperitif, paying 11 € you are entitled to a drink and a souvenir, thus saving 2 €.

Location

Cameo Island is located within the Marine Park of Zakynthos in the Agios Sostis area. It can be reached on foot in 8 minutes walking via the beach from Laganas or by means of a vehicle following the signs for Agios Sostis (about 3km from Laganas).
