One of the most common questions or requests we receive from our customers is about buying excursion or event packages in Zakynthos. In order to experience the island to the fullest and be able to reach the main attractions, we absolutely recommend participating in 1 or 2 boat excursions. The same goes for events: a happy hour or an evening out are essential for a successful holiday in Zakynthos. This is why our agency located in Zakynthos has created excursion and event packages, reducing the commission costs applied by agencies abroad.

What is an excursion/event package?

Packages are excursion or event bundles (sometimes both) offered by travel agencies abroad or tour operators prior to the trip or by onsite agents upon your arrival in Zakynthos.

Is purchasing an excursion/event package really cost-effective?

We’ll let you answer that question, but a lot depends on the type of excursion/event package and what it offers. In fact, purchasing a package from an agency abroad might not be the best choice after all. Although you just want to save both time and money and you do trust the person selling you the package, you might actually be making the wrong decision. Before purchasing a package from an agency abroad, you should consider several things.

Higher cost

When you purchase independently, prices are lower and with our agency located in Zakynthos, you will definitely save money. In fact, packages purchased from agencies abroad often include extra costs and commissions. For example, when you purchase our package with 2 main excursions (Marine Park and Shipwreck Beach), 2 main events (to be selected among White Tuesday, Elegant Party, Aperi-Beach Party and Aperi-Pool Party) and a free aquatic sport, you will pay a price of €87, but if you buy an excursion and event package from an agency abroad, your cost will be between €120 to €130.

Scooter for 5 days at €137

With a saving between €33 to €43 per person per package (or €66 to €86 per couple less than the price of an agency abroad) and a few extra euros, you can add a 50cc scooter to the package for 5 days, with delivery and pickup directly at your accommodation or at the airport. In fact, renting a 50cc scooter has a cost of €20 per day in high season, whereas the cost of a 125cc scooter is €25-€30 per day. By renting a scooter, you will be free to visit Zakynthos’ main attractions, villages and most beautiful beaches completely at your leisure.

N.B. Adding additional events will cost another €16 with a free drink. Adding extra days to the scooter rental will cost between 20 and 30 euro per day depending on the engine size. 

Set days and times

Packages with other agencies often have set days and times (for example, Monday Tour 1, Tuesday Tour 2, Wednesday Event 3, etc.) and in case of bad weather or illness, dates cannot be rescheduled, because they are preset and the boat or event is not going to be available. With the Welcometozante package you can change the type of event as well as the excursion’s date and time in case of illness or rough sea; in fact, we offer daily excursions to the Marine Park and Shipwreck Beach.

Type of boat

When you purchase an excursion package from an agency abroad, you don’t know what type of boat will be used for the tour: will it be a large boat or a small to medium one? N.B. Our Excursion and Event Package has limited availability. The offer is valid from 1 July to 31 August 2024. The price is per person with a scooter for two people. To rent a 50cc scooter, you’ll need to be 18 with an AM driver’s license, whereas to rent a 125cc scooter, you’ll need to be 20 with an A or A1 license.
