Zakynthos bus service: routes and fares.
The public transport of the island of Zakynthos (KTEL) has made considerable progress in recent years. KTEL offers visitors to Zakynthos an excellent bus service which includes intercity routes as well as local routes throughout the island. The bus is a cheap and easy way to get around and connects the main cities of the island, which is a great transport option for those who are unable to rent a car or cannot afford to take a taxi. From 2018 there is even a bus that connects the airport of Zakynthos and the shipwreck beach to Zante town.
Getting to the shipwreck beach by local bus.
KTEL runs a tour to the shipwreck beach. The tour lasts about four hours and leaves the city of Zante from the ΙΑΤΡΟΥ ΜΟΘΩΝΑΙΟΥ station at 10am. The bus takes passengers to Porto Vromi, Maries, where they disembark and board a boat to the shipwreck. There is also a tour to the blue caves and where the customer has the opportunity to stop at Porto Steniti for a swim.
