Laganas, which is the most transgressive and popular town among young people, offers a continuous stretch of bars and clubs open from 6:00 PM to dawn. The town of Zakynthos (also called Chora) attracts a mix of tourists of all ages. You won’t find Laganas’ dance clubs, but you can still enjoy a night of fun hopping from bar to bar: the nightlife at Zakynthos town includes in fact pubs, disco bars, traditional taverns and classy lounge bars, but only 2 Km from the city, you can find the Barrage, the most popular dance club on the island, with its Tuesday and Friday theme parties. Nightlife in Zakynthos Town

In the evening, Alexander Roma Street and the port promenade fills with tourists hopping from venue to venue, going from restaurants to bars for after dinner drinks.

The Base and the Avant Garde, the most popular bars, both overlook San Marco Square, the town’s main square located at the beginning of Alexander Roma Street. They are an excellent choice for a happy hour drink or an after dinner cocktail. In 2019, the Barallou opened its doors. Located a few steps from San Marco Square, it is enjoying considerable success thanks to the quality and variety of its cocktails.

If instead you want a more romantic atmosphere, we recommend Bochali, a village located on Strani Hill, right behind Zakynthos Town. The view of the city below is absolutely spectacular, making it one of the best locations where you can enjoy the full moon reflecting on the sea. The most popular bar is the Movida!

At the stroke of midnight, you can start getting ready for the best events of the night, which take place a few kilometers from the city, on the road that connects the capital to Argassi. There are three clubs on this stretch, with the top one being the Barrage, whose Tuesday and Friday events attract tourists of all ages, who gather in its two separate spaces, one of which is outdoors, in a beautiful garden. The Barrage also offers the option to reserve tables and sofas, for a more elegant evening.

Nightlife in Laganas

Laganas is the center of Zakynthos’ nightlife for young people 18 to 21, who are looking for a transgressive vacation with plenty of alcohol. The main clubs are Rescue, Zeros, Cocktail&Dream and Sizzle. Depending on the evening, admission is free or might require purchasing a ticket. Nightlife in Argassi

The nightlife in Argassi is centered around its main street, with a series of restaurants, hotels and pubs. One of the most popular venue is the Portokali, which is perfect for a happy-hour cocktail or an after-dinner drink. The restaurant has two separate spaces, but the most interesting one is the outdoor area surrounded by lots of vegetation, with paper lanterns hanging from the trees, which give a soft light and create a very romantic atmosphere. Argassi is just a few minute walk from the Barrage Club.
