The flavour trail was launched in 2020 by Welcometozante to introduce the flavours and traditions of Zakynthos Island. The trail is about 19 km long, starting from the Aristeon Oil Mill and ending at Grampsas Winery, crossing some of the most important culinary attractions of the island’s countryside.
The trail includes three stops:
1° Stop: ARISTEON OIL MILL
Free Oil Tasting
The Aristeon Oil Mill is one of the most famous and oldest oil mills in Zakynthos. Located among the olive groves of Lithakia, it offers a free visit to the museum in addition to oil tasting. Outside there is a display of various tools used from 1850 to today for olives grinding. Here, in addition to the classic extra virgin olive oil, you can taste organic extra virgin olive oil, extra virgin lemon olive oil, extra virgin orange olive oil and extra virgin garlic olive oil.

2° stop: GRAMPSAS WINERY
Wine Tasting (Reservation recommended)
The Grampsas Family Winery is located in a semi-mountainous village, called Lagopodo, at the foot of Mount Vrachionas.
Childhood memories of grape harvest scenes and wine-must fermentation aroma led the two Grampsas brothers, Christos and Tassos, to create a modern cellar in the Estate where they grew up. Their goal was to promote the unexplored wealth of local varieties such as Goustolidi and Avgoustiatis and restore Zakynthos Island to its rightful place on the wine map of Greece.
Since 2021 by appointment internationally renowned chef Stavros Yfantidis has been organizing food and wine tours starting at 6:15 pm. Reservations are required.
